holiday work

I just returned from working a 4 hour shift at the Bux. We were pretty slow, but steady. The one thing that bothered me was people were appologizing that we had to work Thanksgiving. If they were really sorry, they wouldn't come in to get coffee. I mean, are they REALLY sorry? If they felt so bad, they would have brought us in some dinner to make up for it. But, they didn't, so I had to settle for the homemade cheezeball my manager brought in and a piece of pumpkin pie with tons of whip cream on it. You know, there was more whip cream than the pie itself. Yummy!
