ground hog day

No, today isn't ground hog day, but last week it was.

I called my mom (aka Beaufur sitter) last week and she said Beaufur had earned his keep. He was out back when a ground hog decided to raid my mom's garden lettuce. This wasn't the first time this particular groundhog ate dinner in mom's garden. In fact, this varment was considered a regular consumer. Beaufur thought this was great...he carefully and slowly approached the groundhog until he was close enough to pounce. And pounce is just what he did. Beaufur killed his first groundhog, hence, groundhog day.

On another note, today was the unplanned evacuation proficiency test. We had to demonstrate on an aircraft simulator in front of the whole class how to evacuate an airplane (very fun by the way). Three of us went at the same time (because there are always 3 flight attendants on the aircraft at once). We had to yell commands all the while performing step by step the correct procedure for evacuating the plane. We were graded in 2 of the three positions. My class did very well and I'm pround of every single one of them. To those of you wondering, yes, I did pass. 1 test down this week, 2 more to go!
